Baby Blog....8-1-06 So the due date is here and still no baby. Ronda had a doctors appointment today and the doctor said that the baby should be here any day now. I hope he means sooner than later she is 2 cm dilated and 80% effaced. Now I am not a medical expert by any means so maybe that is good maybe not we will just have to see. As soon as we hear something you will be the first to know...E.J. 8-3-06 Two days past the due date and still no Hayden. Even Hunter is starting to ask when the baby is coming. Ronda had a few contractions last night but not enough to send her into full fledged labor. Today is Brandon's birthday but it is getting pretty late so it looks like we won't have two August 3rd birthdays in the family. Oh yah Brandon happy birthday from the Garcias and Joy says what's up. Matt's birthday is tomorrow so maybe that is what Ronda is holding out for. (Sorry John I don't think she will make it until your birthday.) Until tomorrow...E. J. 8-7-06 What a weekend, it started with frustration and ended with bliss. Thank everyone for your support and thank you all for the calls and messages. Hayden is just fine and even though we just did this last year a new born still amazes me. Hunter seems to like his brother be it for a few seconds at a time. (Thank god for short attention spans in one year olds.) Ronda did great she started to have contractions Saturday Morning at around 2:00 AM and had the baby at 7:16 AM. The nurse asked her is she wanted epidural anesthesia and for some reason she decided against it. Yes that is right this baby was born without any pain medication. She was not in labor for long at all but I know she was in pain. I thank her for the blessings she has given me. Hayden has been an angel so far sleeping away and crying very little. Shelbi has been a big help as we knew she would be. Well, once again life gets hectic and we will make it through the day...E. J. 8-10-06 I know it has been a couple of days but give me a break we have a baby at the house. Hayden is doing great he is getting a pretty healthy appetite so hopefully he can catch to his brother. Shelbi and Joy went on vacation for a week and I took a week off to stay home and help Ronda with the two little ones. Ronda has been doing great she is a natural mother and it amazes me everyday how good she is at it. As for me I need a little time to get comfortable with such a little baby. Hunter is so rough with me and then I have to go and be delicate with Hayden. Well the family is here and we will talk to you soon...E.J. 8-15-06 It has been a few days since we last wrote anything but we had a busy weekend. Joy has been in South Texas helping your Nanci. Her mother had surgery and since Ronda is not back at work yet she is down there helping Ma get back on her feet. Shelbi started school today and she was excited. She is in the first grade and rides the bus to and from school. She says that she has two old friends in her class, but three mean boys. Well that is Shelbi for you both a optimist and a pessimist at the same time. Hunter is doing fine he is growing more and more every day. Last but not least Hayden has turned a new leaf. This baby has gone from sleeping all night to sleeping all day and keeping Ronda (God Bless Her) up all night. He is starting to get a little appetite on him also so hopefully we can get a little meat on those bones. His two week appointment is Friday so I will tell you what the doctor ells us as far as growing. Ronda well she is tired I try to help her as much as I can but it is harder with me back at work to relieve her in the middle of the night. I will start classes again this fall just a few more semesters as long as everything goes as planned an then who knows....E.J. 8-17-06 Today has almost come and gone and so has this week. Shelbi is doing fine in school, and Hunter is still great with the baby. Hayden well he is still keeping Ronda up at night lets hope this only lasts a few months. The kids are outside playing and Ronda is in the kitchen cooking just your typical day. Tomorrow we take Hayden for his doctors appointment...E.J. 8-25-06 Ok it has been a week since my last blog entry but boy have I been busy. I started classes this week at SHSU so I am back to work and school. The family is great and the kids are growing fast as you can see from the homepage. Hayden gained almost a pound in one week. I think he is trying to catch up with his big brother. Speaking of Hunter he just loves his little brother, we have to keep a close eye on him because he is always giving Hayden kisses and waking him up. Hunter has also become some what of a sock thief. If we are not paying attention he will steal Hayden's socks and proceed to place his foot in his mouth. We are not sure what that means but at least he is good to his brother...E.J. 8-29-06 So this weekend I try to update the site and guess what it was down. Well that is life in cyberspace and we made it through the weekend with only two calls from family to see what's up. I want to thank everyone that I have not thanked yet for all the calls and visits when the baby was born. It has been a very hectic three and a half weeks, but we are finally settling into the routine of a new born in the house. Hunter is a little under the weather and has been cranky for the last few days. The doctor said he is a big strong boy and growing just fine. Well until next time...E. J. 9-4-06 Well I just got off the phone with John and they got thier new puppy. Congrats he look cute hope he dosen't eat you out off the house. Well Hunter is really starting to talk today he said banana. He can say a lot of words but just recently he has started to use them more often. He is a handful and is still just as sweet as pie to his baby brother. It is kind of weird saying that a baby has a baby brother but he sure does. Shelbi starts coach pitch softball this week lets see how that goes. If you are in town she will have games on Thursdays. I am busy with school and work so blogs won't come everyday but I will update them as often as I can. Speaking of work Ronda started back this week so far so good. All three of the kids had some sort of illness this week. Hayden and Hunter had ear infections and Shelbi had a sinus infection. So we feel like a pharmacy with all the medications we have lying around. Well happy labor day everyone...E.J.
